How to Shine your Shoes

A well dressed man should have a clean shirt, perfect haircut and neat shoes. A clean pair of shoes is something everyone notices instantly. It makes for a great first impression with your superiors at work. People will not get a good impression if you are wearing dirty and muddy shoes. It only takes a few minutes to shine your shoes. 

• The first thing is to clean the dirt or dust off your shoes either with a shoeshine brush or a soft piece of cloth. 
• Grab the shoe shine polish which is similar to the color of your shoes and apply generous amount of polish all over your shoe with a brush using circular motion.
• Don’t use instant shoe polishes because they do not last for long and they can harm your shoes.
• Next thing you should do is to allow the polish to dry for about 15 to 20 minutes.
• Then brush all the areas of your shoe with a shoe shine brush. 
• Make sure your not wearing your office clothes when you shine your shoes. You might get some polish on your clothes, so take care to wear appropriate clothing.
• If you are looking to give your shoes a heavier shine then use shoe wax.
